paul schutte - executive director
Paul, a native South African, moved to Richmond with his wife Filly in the spring of 2017. During his time in South Africa he worked as both a teacher and superintendent of education. In addition, he served in prison ministry and healing outreach. During a visit to Richmond in 2016 Paul’s life changed drastically as he experienced his own “Damascus Encounter”. God called him to serve at Deep Passion during that time and he began the process of moving to America in his faithfulness to that calling. Paul and Filly have three adult children, including Rifle who is on staff at Harvest Renewal Church. Paul’s deep passion is to share God’s love with those visiting The River and helping them seek prayer and teaching through music and song.
